We want to reassure our customers and employees that their safety and wellbeing is paramount to Sparkling Flues.
We are continually monitoring the Government updates, and communicating with our Regulatory Bodies. Following their advice and taking all possible precautions to keep our customers and staff safe we have updated our protocols and procedures.
At the present time, we plan to undertake our appointments as normal but have taken further measures to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus. We will ensure that our appointments remain contact free and adhering to social distancing guidelines at all times, whilst continuing to use our Personal Protective Equipment.
We’re sure you will agree that these are strange times that we are now all faced with, and we thank you for your continued loyalty and support through these challenging times.

At the present time, we plan to undertake our appointments as normal but have taken further measures to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus. We will ensure that our appointments remain contact free and adhering to social distancing guidelines at all times, whilst continuing to use our Personal Protective Equipment.
- When booking an appointment, we will ask you to confirm if anyone in your household has had any symptoms associated with the Covid-19 during the past 7 days, and that no-one is self-isolating. We will also confirm the same to you.
- We will explain our safety procedures and customer checklist.
- We will contact you the day before your appointment to confirm the health status of your household. We will also ask again when we arrive at your property.
- Please ensure that the route to your chimney / fireplace is clear of any obstacles and there is adequate space for us to work. We ask that you clear any ash and debris from the appliance and move furniture and ornaments where possible.
- Please ensure that there is access to a plug socket for the duration of our appointment.
- Please ventilate the room/s with open windows ahead of our visit where possible.
- We will enter your property with our Personal Protective Equipment. These will remain on for the duration of the appointment.
- We will observe recommended social distancing and ask that you remain in another room during the appointment. We also ask that any children and pets also remain in another room.
- A clean sheet will be placed on your floor / carpet.
- We will issue a digital Certificate of Chimney Sweeping as usual, and will not require a signature at this time. The document will be emailed to you immediately.
- Payment would be preferably made be via card (hand sanitiser will be provided). If you wish to pay via cash we ask that the new polymer notes are used and provided in an envelope.
- We will remove and secure / dispose of any consumables appropriately. Used sheets will packaged for cleaning and disinfecting.
- Finally, we will remove our PPE and clean ourselves accordingly at our designated cleaning/sanitising station located in our sweep van.
